About Aptila
Building for the long run.
Aptila Holding is the parent company of a group of businesses working across mining, trade, logistics, travel and investment — headquartered in Nairobi, and operating across East, Central and Southern Africa.
Holding does not trade. It owns, allocates capital, sets Group governance and consolidates the reporting — while each business runs its own operation and answers to its own board.
Based in Nairobi, the Group takes a long view. Every company is built to stand on its own, and to still be standing in ten years.
The structure
Five companies. Two tiers. One deliberate shape.
Aptila Capital holds the Group’s investment businesses. Aptila Logistics and Aptila Heritage are held directly by Aptila Holding. Where companies in different parts of the Group do business with each other, they contract at arm’s length — like any two independent counterparties.
It would be simpler to run this as one company with five divisions. It would also be a mistake, and the reasons are worth explaining.
